If I took a vote, I think every person in my family would pick these chocolate chip oatmeal cookies as the favorite thing I bake. Always doubling the recipe I bake them often and store them in ziplock bags in the basement freezer. Each bag provides a cookie that tastes just like it came out of the oven, especially when zapped in the microwave for about 10 seconds. I whipped up a batch of them tonight and took a minute to see if I could capture the deliciousness in a photo.

Heavenly Chocolate Chip Cookies
Preheat oven 350 degrees
Cream in a large bowl: 1 c butter, 1 c white sugar, 1 c brown sugar
Beat in 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla
Mix in a separate bowl and beat into creamed mixture: 2 c flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 c rolled oats
Mix in 1 package chocolate chips
Spoon onto baking sheet with a cookie scoop and bake 12 minutes.
